On the 30th of may 2014, exactly 55 five years later of the launch of The Sleeping Beauty (1959)... the story of Maleficent is told. We already knew what happened with the sleeping beauty, Aurora, but we didn't knew why Maleficent did all what she did. In this film Angelina Jolie portrays stunningly the character of Maleficent, a fairy that wanted revenge after seeing that the love of his life, a human, was so selfish and ambitious that was even disposed to kill her to be king. 

At first, we see a Maleficent as a girl full of light and with a big heart. However, the disappointment of seeing that humans just looked for themselves frustrated her and her idea about love. She became a cold and dark woman, until she met Aurora, the King's daughter, whom she had hexed with a malediction taken from her sadness and anger against Stephan, the king.  

Maleficent may seem a typical kid story, but as Disney has always done, it isn't just a fairy tale... it is a real story about family, motherhood, and love. It may not be the kind of love we are used to...but there it is. I think that the script and the idea of doing a story about the villain has been a success, and a different kind of film where, as Jolie's daughter Shiloh defended at school, the witch becomes the hero.

Is Joaquin Phoenix's performance of the Joker worth an Oscar nomination? Yes. Ok, but, besides that, why is everybody so hyped by this film? about time | 2013

What would you do if you had a second chance to live again the moments you've already lived? Probably the answer is that you would try and change the things you did wrong and try and do better the ones you did right.  With this movie, that apparently may seem another romantic comedy from Hollywood, Richard Curtis makes us think of  "time". The time we live and how we live it and how could a normal person use it to live.  At first, Tim, the protagonist, repeats over and over all the things he has lived to change the things he did wrong, after he does it to fall in love with a girl and also to repeat many other things that make this movie a magic movie about time and all of its connotations. The spectator just thinks of how much we need to valorate and live our life because we only have one and we cannot reherse all our steps in this life and then live it again in a perfect way...  The film has something magic, with a great story and performance...

"Julieta", by Pedro Almodóvar is a movie that I didn't plan to watch and I think that, as it has happened to me with the few last movies I've watched, it gave me a valuable lesson about life,  family, friends, in fact about us, humans.  Julieta is a humanist, she teaches ancient greek culture (literature and mythology) when, in a train,  she meets "prónos" a man named Xoan, who is a fisherman from the north of Spain that will change her hole life.
