42 is a movie, that like all the recent movies about black men, shows the struggle to be treated the same way white people was. 

Instead of using a more "common" kind of story based on real life, this film focuses on baseball. One black man has to step out, and be the first one to play baseball. Mr. Rickey, amazingly portrayed by Harrison Ford, decides that Jackie Robinson will be the the man. 

The movie, then, shows how Jackie has to shut up when he would like to defend himself and has to deal with the way all white people, not just the supporters, or the other teams, also in his own team. 

As he is one of the best ball players Jackie becomes very known and people start to like him... 

So this is a very good film, with moments of emotion, very entrataining and the best thing is the message behind the baseball, how the life of black men in America was changing and how it should be. 

To end I would like to say that the fact of using sport to portray a thing like the evolution of racism, also shows the values that sport provides and that should always be respected.

This film is based on the book written by Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows where every chapter is a letter written by a different character.  Juliet Ashton (Lily James) is the main character of this lovely film that portrays the story from some citizens from Guernsey Island that became a family when the nazis occupied the island during the II World War. As they had taken away all what they loved, they started a literary club where they discussed about books and life while they refuged from the demands of the nazis.  Juliet Ashton, a londoner who lost her parents when she was a girl, meets this literary club through a letter that Dawsey Adams, a citizen from the island, sends to her when he found out her name and address in a book from the local library that had been abandoned. Juliet that loves reading books, but also is aspiring to be a writer thinks that visting the island can be her inspiration to do so as she is curious about this literary club and its story ...

about time | 2013

What would you do if you had a second chance to live again the moments you've already lived? Probably the answer is that you would try and change the things you did wrong and try and do better the ones you did right.  With this movie, that apparently may seem another romantic comedy from Hollywood, Richard Curtis makes us think of  "time". The time we live and how we live it and how could a normal person use it to live.  At first, Tim, the protagonist, repeats over and over all the things he has lived to change the things he did wrong, after he does it to fall in love with a girl and also to repeat many other things that make this movie a magic movie about time and all of its connotations. The spectator just thinks of how much we need to valorate and live our life because we only have one and we cannot reherse all our steps in this life and then live it again in a perfect way...  The film has something magic, with a great story and performance...
