fight club | 1999

Imatge relacionada

Fight club is a great movie. At first can seem like a non-sense film but that has a lot of sense. An insomniac, with a "good-boy" appearance turns out to be a destructor of everything.

David Fincher makes the audience vibrate with a story that keeps you on the edge of your seat because you want to understand what is happening in the movie and why characters act the way they do. It reminds me of two posterior movies Mystic River and Shutter Island where you also are trying to understand what is really happening.

With Fight Club you see a lot of violence but underneath of that you see how was the society, and by extension who's the society now. We leave in an empty society and also violent, the occidental society has  to be destroyed, and the last scene is memorable...

Very nihilist but also a kind of a poem, that you read once and that you need to discover afterwards.... really amazing. I think I haven't seen so much movies like a poem, and I really enjoyed the experience of the "double-scene" or the symbolism of the cinematography....

Pitt and Norton portray two, very different and dificult characters greatly. Helena Bonham Carter, as always, doing it well, she has no problem

The film follows the life of various couples, families, friends  and people that spend the Christmas night in Barcelona. Some of them fall in love, others try new things, and some others share a secret they were hiding for a long time...  In the movie everyone learns something about life, family or love... in fact, the magic of Christmas is always present. It is romantic, but you also real and magic and you laugh a lot as well.  A perfect film for these holidays

the secret life of walter mitty | 2013

A dreamer, Walter Mitty is a contemporaneous dreamer that wants to say that to escape from the world we're living in, we don't need, if we would like to change it, to fight, we need to dream. With this motto Walter Mitty starts to change his life and live the dream.  When the Life magazine is about to close it's doors to become a digital source of information Mitty is the person who needs to provide the photography that will be the 5th essence and last cover of the publication. The problem is, he does not find it. The movie, then becomes a journey, sometimes ponderous and boring, where the best thing is the photography. The original story was simple, but this one starts being also simple and changes to be complex and more awkward than it should be.  Very promising, but the result hasn't been as good as it could and should have been. The moral could have been a good point for this movie, but the idea of dreaming to escape from the problems is not convi...

only god forgives | 2013

I saw this movie at the Sitges Film Festival. When the movie started you could feel Gosling's presence in the film as you do all the time that the movie lasts... but nothing more. Ryan Gosling's carachter 'Julian' seems like a ghost that sometimes can be violent and other times he stands up with everything, that her mother says. The movie stands between the violence and the colors, the feelings that the scenes produce on you. I think that the film is a metaphor of the things that happen in a kind of world that exists and where the only way of surviving is violence, but also your way of dying. Right know I can tell I made a good choice, 'cause this movie is different, it has something special Thanks to the Sitges Festival Organization for bringing this movie to Sitges!
