Captain Phillips is a film based on a real story, about the pirates in Somalia and what they do to survive. They kidnap ships and want to be payed for abandoning it, but they want a lot of money. In this part the film is a bit long, it shows lots of details and the persecution of the pirates gets a little bit boring.

Until the last hour, the action and the good performances by all of the actors, but especially by Tom Hanks, his performance is really remarkable during all the film but especially the last hour or so.

So even though it is a bit long, and sometimes a little bit 'to-much detailed Captain Phillips is a good film to see.

Is Joaquin Phoenix's performance of the Joker worth an Oscar nomination? Yes. Ok, but, besides that, why is everybody so hyped by this film? Because we've seen a movie with plenty of superheroes hit the box office this year and now, six months later, just one man, a villain, is stealing the whole show. The one thing that hyped me the most was reading, when the movie premiered at the Venice Film Festival back in September, that this movie didn't have special effects, that it was organic. I know, I'm not going to say anything you've already read on any film magazine or twitter, instagram or your friends may have commented but I needed to post this. about time | 2013

What would you do if you had a second chance to live again the moments you've already lived? Probably the answer is that you would try and change the things you did wrong and try and do better the ones you did right. With this movie, that apparently may seem another romantic comedy from Hollywood, Richard Curtis makes us think of "time". The time we live and how we live it and how could a normal person use it to live. At first, Tim, the protagonist, repeats over and over all the things he has lived to change the things he did wrong, after he does it to fall in love with a girl and also to repeat many other things that make this movie a magic movie about time and all of its connotations. The spectator just thinks of how much we need to valorate and live our life because we only have one and we cannot reherse all our steps in this life and then live it again in a perfect way... The film has something magic, with a great story and performance...

"Julieta", by Pedro Almodóvar is a movie that I didn't plan to watch and I think that, as it has happened to me with the few last movies I've watched, it gave me a valuable lesson about life, family, friends, in fact about us, humans. Julieta is a humanist, she teaches ancient greek culture (literature and mythology) when, in a train, she meets "prónos" a man named Xoan, who is a fisherman from the north of Spain that will change her hole life. They become a family when Artía, their daughter, is born and their story seems to be perfect.
